Audient Sits Comfortably at SofaSongs Studio

"The Audient ASP008 mic pre and my Audient Sumo are fantastic pieces of pro gear that I couldn't live without!” says SofaSongs owner, Greg Kramer. “They both sound great, and I've never had a bit of trouble with either one.”

With 35 years experience and a host of credits to his name, including James Guthrie and Barry Randolph, Kramer always strives to get the best out of his studio. “My bass player (Colin Cameron) and I did some comparison with direct bass inputs,” he explains. “We tried going through the signal path of a couple of hand-wired, boutique amps with tube preamps. Then we tried the bass straight into the Audient ASP008. We found the sound quality through the ASP008 beat those 'boutique' amps hands down. No comparison!”

“Needless to say, all the bass tracks done in my studio go through my ASP008,” concludes Kramer.
