Haldern, Germany; September 2009 – This year’s Haldern Pop Festival, which featured local talent, German hip-hop icons Fettes Brot, as well as big names such as Athlete, Little Boots and the The Maccabees was recorded live via four Audient ASP008-ADAT96 mic pre-amps.
Needing a recording solution for the event, sound engineer Modo Bierkamp chose Audient’s mic-preamps. He explains, “I combined four Audient ASP008-ADAT with two RME Fireface 800 without any problems. Everything went well from the start and in three days of live recording there wasn’t a single drop-out.
“It quickly became apparent – even more so now, during the mixing phase - that the sound of the preamps is unbelievably good, especially for this price range. The mixes sound very clean and ‘elegant’.”
The annual event attracted over 7000 visitors over the hot mid-August weekend, with a CD compilation with some of the line-up planned for later this year.
