Ante Pecotic's ALBA Studio in Zagreb.

Zagreb, Croatia; June 2009 – The second ASP8024 recording console to arrive in Croatia was chosen by songwriter, Ante Pecotic for his own ALBA Studio in Zagreb. With a discography studded with Croatian stars such as local diva Vanna and a new up-and-coming singer Sabrina, Pecotic’s upgraded studio packs even more punch with his new desk.

“The most impressive thing about the Audient console for me is the clear linear sound, a fantastic EQ section and an ability to get a wide and powerful sound,” he explains. Using the desk in tandem with an SSL XLogic Alpha Link 24 I/0 as the DAW interface, he emphasises how important it is for him to be involved in all aspects of the music-making experience. “I like to have a hand in every part of the process of creating songs.”

Pecotic describes the process of choosing the desk as, “An easy decision.” He continues, “I had the opportunity to try the Audient desk at my friend Jura Havidic’s studio, and that was it.”

The ASP8024, Audient’s flagship recording desk continues to offer incredible sound quality and features usually associated with consoles with a much higher price tag. Along with offering an ageless analogue path to integrate with digital equipment, the ASP8024 also features: 80 inputs on the 36 channel version, full 24-track routing, ergonomic console surface with clear channel path indications, extended headroom, splittable equalisers, and 14 auxiliary busses.

When asked to about his overall impressions of the desk, Pecotic replied, “It was way better than I expected.”
