Audient Mark 10th Year Anniversary

ASP8024-S

Herriard, Hampshire; June 2007 - To celebrate 10 years of design innovation, Audient announce the release of a special version of the ASP8024. Badged as the ASP8024 S, this version offers customers striking metallic charcoal trims, black ash armrest, classic Sifam knobs and blue led Cut buttons. As well as the aesthetic changes, the console features a custom modification to the mix bus amps, providing a totally discrete amplifier stage based around the Jensen 990 op amp design. The basic circuit was developed by Deane Jensen and is one of the most respected discrete op amp designs in existence

Further to the S version of the console, Audient have also announced the packaging of the Black Series rack to provide high quality A/D conversion for the ASP8024. Featuring Audient’s proprietary Low Jitter PLL circuitry, the Black ADC converter option is available in 8 channel or 16 channel versions and provides 2 AES/EBU, SPDIF coaxial and SPDIF optical for each channel.

To compliment the ADC option, the converter rack also has space to include the optional Black Time Machine, a new module that provides a high performance, Low Jitter Master Word Clock. The Time Machine features sample rates of up to 192kHz and distributes Word Clock to each ADC via a specially optimised bus. The Black ADC conveniently connects to the console via a supplied multi-way connector.

These new additions to the range underline Audient’s commitment to developing tools for the analogue recording world, whilst embracing and integrating with workstation based systems
