ASP8024 a Natural Choice for Cavo

Paolo Filippi at the ASP8024

Bergamo, Italy; July 2006 – Chief sound engineer and co-owner Paolo Filippi of Cavò Studio in Italy knew exactly which console he wanted when the time came to upgrade his studio equipment: Audient’s ASP8024.

'I had test-driven the Audient previously, so I knew what it was capable of. Then having read articles and reviews it was clear that the ASP8024 was everything that we needed.' Filippi continues, 'We chose a 48 channel desk with external patch bay; it is an analogue console that meets the requirements of digital recording.'

Founded in 1999, Cavò Studio was set up by Paolo Filippi and Matteo Marchese in response to the growing demand for definitive sound quality in recordings that could be achieved by combining analogue and digital technology.

'We mainly record jazz, new jazz and lounge music, so it goes without saying that ‘natural’ sound is the building block of our productions. Accurate, ambient sound design calls for a high quality console, and the Audient is the answer,' says Filippi, conclusively. 'With the unbelievable signal to noise ratio and wonderfully clean sound, we couldn’t have chosen better than this excellent console.'

Clients of Cavò Studio include Sony Music, Warner Music, Blue Note and various prominent artists including Lee Konitz, Jeff Berlin, Nicola Conte and indie label Schema Records, very active in the new jazz arena.
