Avalon goes Audient

Avalon goes Audient

HARRISBURG, PA, October 2005 — Nestled in the quaint, arts and culture filled city of Harrisburg, PA, Avalon Recording recently acquired an Audient ASP8024 console from Audio Exchange International (AXI). Jim Vanzino, owner and engineer of Avalon Recording, uses the Audient combined with the ProTools HD2 excel rig, making Avalon Recording one of the most powerful state-of-the-art facilities in the area.

'I wanted to upgrade my studio with top-of-the-line equipment, but I had to stay within my budget,' stated Vanzino. 'AXI really came through by supplying me with one of the best, most affordable consoles in the industry: an Audient ASP8024. Since the installation of the Audient, we have tracked and mixed various artists. The sound is very clean and the features are amazing. The Audient has exceeded my expectations.'

Audient's ASP8024 has established itself as the 'benchmark' in cost-effective analogue mixing. It uses cutting-edge design and manufacturing techniques along with the best component technologies to deliver outstanding audio performance. The console's control surface provides comprehensive functionality with an intuitive and easy to use layout.

'One of the biggest misconceptions in today’s audio industry is that digital equipment is always the best choice, whereas with music recording consoles that is clearly not the case,' commented Chris Walsh, director of sales and marketing for AXI. 'We knew that the ASP8024 Audient was a great choice for Avalon Recording because of its high-quality mixing performance and affordable price. The good blend of analogue and digital equipment will help Avalon become further established as a first class facility.'

Avalon Recording recently combined its systems with recording studio The Cape Sound. The new high-tech facility offers both studio tracking and a professional mobile recording system. Currently, Avalon is mixing projects for Nashville-natives, The Lost Dogs and local band Amy K. Other clients include Harrisburg-area gospel singers and rap artists.
