ASP008 at Queen Convention

Once a year, Prestatyn North Wales in the UK comes alive to the sound of the annual Queen convention.

FOH engineer Tom Tunney, a former student at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), specified a 24-Track recording system for the Jeff Scott Soto band. He chose a Pro Tools HD3 system with Audient's acclaimed ASP008 preamps as its front end.

Tunney states "Jeff Scott Soto is a demanding performer. The attention to detail is unbelievable and I like to show the same attention to detail when recording and mixing Jeff's performances. The ASP008 is incredible sounding and a perfect front end for the Pro Tools HD3 system.

UK Sales Manager Nick Pemberton was on hand throughout the show. "I've known Tom since we were at LIPA together. Tom is a superb engineer and he really did a good job. I can't wait to hear the final mixes on CD and DVD soon."
