London - March 2004. Kore recording studios, based in Acton, West London, officially opened on Monday 8th March 2004. George Apsion, who previously worked for Sanctuary at Westside Studios, is the proud owner of this exciting new facility.
When asked why he went for the Audient 8024 console his reply was pretty straight forward; "the studio is mainly a tracking facility, so it's important that we get a quality signal into our Pro Tools/ Radars. The 8024 has brilliant mic-pre's and EQ and is very intuitive. We have invested a lot of money in outboard gear, so we needed a clean and reliable desk to bring it all together. This is exactly what the 8024 has given me. This is a Rock n Roll studio.. so we had to go analogue!"
Exigy 515's, part of the new range of high end monitoring speakers from the Audient family have also been installed. Acoustic design and implementation were handled by White Mark Ltd, recent winners of the 2004 TEC award for Studio design.
